Text Box: Jennifer Housholder joined the NOWAC team in January of 2008 as a Quality Assurance Specialist, replacing Melissa Ford who has taken a job closer to home.  
Jennifer  has experience as a classroom aide for students with disabilities and as a foster parent.  She most recently served as owner/manager of a few family pizza businesses, and leader/receptionist of Weight Watchers.  Her educational background is in the nursing/health field.  
Jennifer’s duties consist of performing Quality Assurance Reviews for participating NOWAC counties, in order to assure that individuals are receiving quality services, and to note any further help or services that are needed or desired.  She serves as a communicator between the individual, the County Board, and the provider via a Quality Assurance Report.  Through the Quality  Assurance process, Jennifer reviews the ISP and provider service documentation to ensure compliance to all applicable rules  and that all information is accurate and up to date.  She is responsible to maintain Quality Assurance standards according to local, state, and federal rules. 
Jennifer has three children; Jocelyn, Bart, and Holly that she loves to spend time building memories with.

What you like most about your position:  I enjoy the diversity of experiences and  working with dedicated people.
What you like least about your position: The frustration that comes with not being able to       provide individuals and their families all programs and services that would enhance their lives.
What you want citizens to know most about the county board:  There are tremendous services being offered with limited resources. The Board (s) and staff are committed to the individuals we serve and understand the importance of the program to the community.

Son:   Jeff - Regional Manager for Columbus Equipment in Cincinnati
Daughter: Lindsey – Kindergarten Teacher at  Otsego Local Schools

Previous Experience:  Have worked here at the Fulton County Board of DD since 1988, in the children services area, most recently as the Children Services Director for over 10 years.

What you like most about your position:  The people that we serve here in Fulton County, both clients and their families as well as the great staff that I work with every day.

What you like least about your position:  The piles of paperwork!

What you want citizens to know most about the county board:  I believe that we do a good job of supporting individuals in Fulton County with developmental disabilities, from the infants and toddlers in our early childhood program to adults in our seniors program.  While providing services to individuals, we also work  hard to support families and caregivers through service coordination, SSA and support groups.

Family information, spouse, children:  I am married to Joe who is a middle school principal in Wauseon. Our son Sean, 24, works at Barnes and Noble in Toledo.  Our daughter, Kayleigh, 22, recently graduated with a BS in nursing.  We will gain a son-in-law Chris on May 31, 2008.
